Bedroom Closets

 The Problem:

The clients couldn’t walk into their “walk-in” closet in thier master bedroom.  The floor was cluttered with clothes, shoes and other items.

We started this closet project by clearing the clutter off the floor and shelves.  A major problem in this closet was the lack of space for dirty clothes and the shoes piling up.  Once the laundry basket was full, clothes began piling up on the floor.  This not only made it difficult to get in the closet, but also made it difficult to see what laundry needed to be done.  We solved this problem by adding multiple laundry baskets, one for lights, darks and reds.  We also added a shoe rack on the floor and one of the upper shelves to keep all of the shoes in their place.

To help the clients find their clothes more quickly we bought matching hangers to keep all the clothes at the same height and to create a more visually pleasing space.  Then we organized all the clothes by type (slacks, shirts, skirts, etc…).  We also added plastic drawers to organize small items.  These changes cleared up the floor space and provided more room on the closet shelves for extra toiletries for the adjacent bathroom.

The Result:

A true “walk-in” closet that
